When it gets cold outside there is a good chance you may see your tire light come on.
The most common reason for a tire light is low air pressure in one or more than one of your vehicle’s tires. We recommend checking your tire pressure as soon as possible after seeing a low tire light.
As ambient temperature drops it is common to see about a 1 psi decree per 10 degree temperature drop. Cold air condenses and takes up less space inside of your tires and causes a pressure drop. A good guide is if all four of your tires are within 5 psi of each other you are probably not experiencing a leak in a tire.
